July 21 is National Junk Food Day

MGN

(KYMA, KECY/CNN) - July 21 is annual National Junk Food Day, celebrating bad foods like chips, chocolate and cake.

These are considered junk food due to their high fats, sugars, salts and calories.

Junk food grew in popularity after World War II, though the term wasn't coined until the 1970's.
