Coroner releases autopsy report on Amhaud Arbery
New details on death of man shot during controversial confrontation in Georgia
GLYNN COUNTY, Ga. (KYMA, KECY) - An autopsy report reveals new information on the violent death of 25-year-old Amhaud Arbery.
Arbery is the black man killed during a confrontation with two white men in Glynn County, Georgia. The confrontation, and subsequent shooting, were captured on cell phone video.
The coronor says Arbery suffered a gun shot wound to the upper left and lower center parts of his chest. He also had a graze wound on the inside of his right wrist.
The report shows he had neither drugs nor alcohol in his system at the time of his death.
Investigators say Gregory and Travis McMichael confronted Arbery as he jogged through their neighborhood on February 23. The father and son say they thought he was a burglar.
Police arrested the McMichaels last Thursday. They face charges of murder and aggravated assault.
