Pentagon identifies two soldiers killed in Jordan

(NBC, KYMA) - The Pentagon has identified the two soldiers killed in Jordan over the weekend.

They were identified as 25-year-old Tyler James Feehan of Hawaii and 19-year-old Isabella Gonzales of Texas.

The deaths of the two newly identified soldiers are directly attributable to the ongoing conflict.

Both Feehan and Gonzales died in Iranian strikes in Jordan.

Gonzales from Carrollton, Texas, was killed Friday and Feehan Saturday. The Department of Defense did not provide details on the exact circumstances of their deaths.

Another U.S. service member was killed in a separate incident in Iraq.

15 U.S. Service members have now died in combat since military operations against Iran began, while two more service members died from noncombat causes while the White House has declared the military campaign, Operation Epic Fury, has concluded.
