Mothers who have given birth in U.S. face visa denials

SAN LUIS, Mexico (KYMA) - Hundreds of mothers who have given birth in the U.S. have faced visa denials or even revocations.

If mothers are not able to show birth expenses are covered, this can lead to a visa refusal or cancelation.

Immigrant specialists advise that keeping receipts or documentation of paid medical expenses is essential as this evidence can be crucial when it comes to visa applications or renewals.

"Recently there has been much controversy regarding the citizenship obtained by children of migrants in the United States; they consider it a public charge when mothers with tourist visas have children in the United States," said Angela Olua, immigration specialist.

Documentation of payment is key to avoid migration complications.
