Meteorite lights up skies over northern Mexico

Security cameras capture celestial event

MONTERREY, Mexico (KYMA, KECY) - A huge fireball lit up the night skies over northern Mexico Tuesday night.

Security cameras captured the moment the flaming object plunged to earth.

The Mexican Civil Defense Ministry say it was probably a meteorite breaking up as it entered the earth's atmosphere. It reports no damage or injuries associated with the phenomenon.
