Locals and winter visitors attend second day of Midnight at the Oasis
YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Car enthusiasts from across the country showcased their array of cars this weekend.
Saturday marks day two of the 32nd Annual Midnight at the Oasis, which kicked off Friday at Desert Sun Stadium.
"You know, it's a fun event. I think we enjoy it as much as people enjoy being here, as much as the car owners enjoy being here. You bring a lot and a lot of fun people. It's a great event, good family event. Days like today, the weather's good, everybody's out here. So yeah, it's a lot of fun," said Nate Schug, also known as Captain Midnight.
Sunday will mark the third and final day of the annual event, where Caballeros de Yuma will host an awards brunch at the Civic Center, announce the winner of the 1967 Ford Galaxie 500, and showcase the car for next year's raffle.
However, there is still time to head on down to Desert Sun Stadium as Danny "The Count" Koker, star of the reality television show "Counting Cars," and his band Count 77 will serve as the main headliner.
Day two's events will go until 11:30 p.m.
