Police chief says goodbye to Calexico Police Department

CALEXICO, Calif. (KYMA, KECY) - The Calexico Chief of Police, Jesus Serrano, is retiring after 28 years of being with the department.

Serrano started as a police officer in 1994. In 2000, he was promoted to sergeant, lieutenant in 2006, and chief in 2022.

Serrano says he will miss the department and hopes the next one to take on the role will success.
