Desert murder suspect appears in court
Suspect was apprehended by YCSO Monday evening
YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - A 34-year-old undocumented individual, who has not been formally charged, made a virtual appearance Tuesday morning at Wellton Justice Court.
The suspect is facing a second-degree murder charge, after alleging that the victim had fallen off a cliff due to eventual fatigue and injury.
The incident was first reported by another individual who was with the suspect.
Border patrol agents were first on the scene back in September.
The victim's body was found at the Mohawk Mountain Range.
