School supplies costing more money
YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY-TV) - Basic items on your typical back-to-school list may be a little more expensive this year.
The National Retail Federation says parents of K-12 students are expected to spend over eight-hundred dollars on school supplies this year.
While college students and their families plan to spend more than one-thousand dollars on items that’s not including tuition and books.
“Really depends where you shop, some are going to be more expensive than others so kind of get in before they are gone so you don’t have to end up going somewhere else and paying a higher price,” said teacher Sherrill Gauthier.
The biggest jump in spending this year is expected to come from electronics and clothing.
