Senate-passed annual defense bill leads to military upgrades in Arizona

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Arizona Senators Kelly and Sinema announced they secured major Arizona defense priorities in this year's Annual Defense Bill.

The money will go to military installations all throughout Arizona including Yuma Proving Ground and Marine Corps Air Station Yuma.

For Yuma Proving Ground, the money will be put towards the continuation of construction for the U.S. Army Special Operations Command Military Free Fall School facilities and add funding towards the Radar Range Replacement Program.

Marine Corps Air Station Yuma will be advancing the planning and designing of the upgraded water treatment plant. Last year there was an expedited $5 million for this.
