Serious collision takes place on Somerton Avenue

Early Sunday morning collision results in serious damage

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - On Sunday morning just after 2:30 a.m., the Yuma County Sheriff's Office responded to a report on a single-vehicle collision in the area of Somerton Avenue and County 8th Street.

The investigation revealed a Jeep Grand Cherokee carrying four people lost control and the driver collided with an APS pole

The three other occupants in the vehicle did not sustain serious injuries.

This case remains under investigation at this time. Alcohol appears to be a factor in this collision
