Cocopah Racing holds its third and final day at Playa Azul

SOMERTON, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - It's the third and final day of the Playa Azul Seypet Resorts Casino Winter Nationals at Cocopah Speedway.

Since Thursday, drivers have been shining their cars as well as putting the pedal to the medal, leading up to the final day of the 2023 Winter Nationals at Cocopah Speedway in Somerton

So far, Iowa native Shane Paris and car 3C top the leaderboard with 228 points

Tyler Bannister is the latest heat winner number 151, heading into the race.

Retired NASCAR legends Bobby Labonte and Ken Schrader attended the event. There was also something new to learn even for the best of the best.

"The thing about me is that I don't have a lot of experience with dirt. So, to talk to these guys, I'm learning more about listening to them than they are to me, but sure I've run a lot of races, I have a lot of experiences," Labonte spoke.

The final results of the 2023 Winter Nationals can be found on the Cocopah Speedway website. Races last until 10:00pm.
