Pediatric respiratory illness increasing in Yuma County

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Yuma Regional Medical Center (YRMC) is seeing an increasingly high number of children in the Emergency Department with respiratory illness.

Unfortunately, YRMC says there are many different illnesses going around right now like the flu, RSV, colds, and COVID.

One pediatric doctor shares what he is seeing, when to seek emergency care and how to treat illnesses. With so much information out there about RSV, doctors say many parents are afraid.

News 11's Samantha Byrd will have more later tonight.
