United Way Drive for School Supplies volunteer day

YUMA, Ariz. (KECY, KYMA) - Friday morning, the United Way of Yuma County held a volunteer day to stuff backpacks for the annual Drive for School Supplies.

The United Way says its goal is making sure all students are prepared for the start of the school year.

The Drive for School supplies is a program in Yuma County that ensures our students, regardless of income, all have the chance to succeed.

There were over 50 volunteers helping stuff backpacks full of paper, binders, pens, and pencils and more.
