Burn survivors thank Harley Owners Group for funds raised

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Almost a month ago, the Yuma Harley Owners Group held an event paying tribute to our fallen firefighters who died tragically answering the call to help on September 11, 2001.

Proceeds from the event went to the Yuma Child Burn Survivors Foundation.

The foundation publicly thanked the Monday motorcyclists sharing, "On behalf of the Yuma Child Burn Survivors, I would like to thank the Yuma Harley Owners Group, Bobby's Territorial Harley Davidson and Texas Roadhouse for sponsoring the inaugural 9/11 Fallen Firefighters Memorial Motorcycle Run."

Kicking off at 9 a.m., the cost was $20 for single riders and $30 for two or more. Event planners say motorcyclists from all over the state participated donating $2,300 to the Yuma Child Burned Survivors.
