Where to celebrate New Year’s in Yuma
YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KSWT, KECY) - Looking to celebrate the incoming New Year away from home?
These are two community events that are sure to make it one to remember.
Yuma's Iceberg Lettuce Drop
Recently featured in USA Today, Yuma's Iceberg Drop invites the community with the following phrase: "Lettuce Celebrate."
On New Year's Eve, an illuminated and decorated head of iceberg lettuce will be dropped in Yuma's Historic Downtown.
It's reminiscent of the Times Square Ball Drop, but truly represents the Yuma community.
From 8:00 p.m. Midnight, come celebrate with live music and treats for all.
New Year's Eve Family Fun Night
The Yuma Civic Center is hosting its own New Year's Eve event, fit for the whole family.
For only a 1 dollar admission, come out for an evening of games, contests, music, food, and giveaways.
There will even be a costume contest for a chance to win prizes.
The event runs from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Yuma Civic Center.
