IID’s Conserve Alert extended to July 9

IMPERIAL COUNTY, Calif. (KYMA, KECY) - The Imperial Irrigation District (IID) have extended their Conserve Alert to July 9.

Originally scheduled through July 2, this Conserve Alert is to inform the public to take stress off the electric grid.

IID says the following can be done to conserve energy:

  • Set your AC to 78 degrees or higher
  • Give major appliances a break between 4-9 p.m.
  • Turn off unncessary lights
