Woman found dead in a car in Brawley
BRAWLEY, Calif. (KYMA, KECY) - Deputies are investigating after a woman was found dead in her car in Brawley.
The body was found by Austin Road near a canal Tuesday afternoon.
Imperial County Sheriffs say they were patrolling the area after multiple incidents of people stealing farm equipment. That's when they came across a car with the body of a woman inside.
“I don’t know what possession she found. I do know she had signs of trauma from a car accident from an impact,” said Manuel De Leon, Chief Deputy from Imperial County Sheriff's Office.
Sheriffs say they don’t know what caused her death but the investigation is ongoing.
