Family of Imperial Valley musician hosts fundraiser

IMPERIAL VALLEY, Calif. (KYMA, KECY) - The family of Ruben Hernandez creates a GoFundMe in his memory.

Hernandez passed away in a tragic car accident in New Mexico.

At the same time, his band members "Los Chicos del 512" and "Angel de Rock: Mana Tribute" also lost their lives.

Furthermore, the bus they band rode in hit black ice and rolled over, killing Hernandez and four others.

Now, Hernandez's family is asking for help in supporting his family after a enormous loss.

"Ruben was an incredible and dedicated son, father, husband, bother, uncle, Godfather, friend, and musician. He also passionately supported Easterseals participants in El Centro for over 5 years," said Adriana Andrade, campaign organizer.
