Full closure of SR-78 this week
EL CENTRO, Calif. (KYMA, KECY) - All lanes of westbound State Route 78 (SR-78) from the east junction of State Route 111 (SR-111) to Western Avenue will be closed for several maintenance procedures.
The closure will happen on Thursday, April 21.
The California Department of Transportation says the southbound SR-111 on-ramp to westbound SR-78 will be closed as well.
Detours offered for these closures are as follows:
- Detour from westbound SR-78: from westbound SR-78, continue onto Ben Hulse Highway which turns into Main Street, turn right onto Western Avenue to westbound SR-78
- Detour from southbound SR-111: from southbound SR-111, continue onto southbound Old Highway 111, turn right onto Main Street, right at Western Avenue westbound SR-78.
