Brawley Chamber of Commerce continues to be an advocate for local businesses
BRAWLEY, Calif. (KYMA, KECY)-The Brawley Chamber of Commerce is helping local businesses stay up to date with a workshop on the latest labor laws.
Ramiro Urias, the Members Coordinator for the Brawley Chamber of Commerce said small businesses are the foundation of the Imperial Valley.
The workshop informed local business owners about the rise in minimum wages as well as rights for their employees and more.
"We don't want them pretty much having any lawsuits. Anything that might affect their business. So workshops like this, labor law updates really help out with our mission of having continuing support for those businesses. "
The Brawley Chamber of Commerce plans on holding workshops every Wednesday for local small businesses.
