Benefit concert helps local cancer support group
BRAWLEY, Calif. (KYMA, KSWT, KECY)- Valley residents can dance the night away for a great cause.
Featuring seven local bands, the "Rockin Out Cancer" concert kicks off at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Hildalgo Hall in Brawley.
Funds from the concert go to benefit the Imperial Valley Cancer Support Center that does so much for patients in their battle against cancer.
Oreda Chin, Executive Director of the Imperial Valley Cancer Support Center said, "We are seeing a rise in cancer patients. And actually more people in need. So these funds are really necessary for us to keep doing what we're doing. And we're just thrilled that we're able to do it and at such a beautiful event. A fun event will take place for us to achieve that."
Residents can drop by and devour delicious barbeque for $10 and enjoy some live music.
