30 inmates to graduate with associates degrees at Centinela prison

First graduates from IVC's face-to-face program

IMPERIAL, Calif. (KYMA, KSWT, KECY) -

The first graduates from Imperial Valley College's (IVC) face-to-face- program are graduating this month.

Family members and prison staff will be present at the graduation on Wednesday, December 18, starting at 8:30 a.m.

The ceremony will take place at Centinela State Prison, with inmates graduating with their Associates of Arts degrees in Psychology.

All courses were completed in a face-to face format, and can be transferred to a 4-year degree program in the future.

Centinela State Prison is located at 3202 Brown road in Imperial.
