Expected to be completed by August 2020

The Calexico Unified School District (CUSD) invites the public to a groundbreaking ceremony for a new classroom building and a soccer-field renovation.

The ceremony will take place on Tuesday December 3, at 9:00 a.m. at Calexico High School.

The "Sixteen Classroom" building will be a two-story building reinforced with concrete.

In addition, the "No Name Field" will be converted into a soccer field with state-of-the-art lighting.

Both endeavors are part of Project A2, which is funded through the Measure V bond.

“We continue to progress towards the completion of all projects funded through Measure V. It is exciting to see Calexico High School enter another phase of modernization, " said CUSD Superintendent Carlos R. Gonzales.

"Our students and staff will benefit from classrooms outfitted with new furnishings, wiring and technology equipment. This is the first set of new classrooms to be added to the site. ”

The completion of the project is scheduled for August 2020.
