Share your input on the city's future plans

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KSWT, KECY) -The city of El Centro is updating its General Plan with "El Centro 2040," which will guide important decisions for the next two decades.

The update will guide decisions regarding land use, transportation, and environmental issues.

The City encourages the community to give their opinions on the project.

El Centro will provide "pop-up" workshops across the community to give residents a chance to contribute their thoughts.

It's also encouraged that residents and business owners fill out a survey on the project.

"We will have many opportunities for you, the residents of El Centro, to share your ideas, concerns suggestions, and aspirations for the future of our city," said Mayor Pro-tem Efrain Silva.

It is a State of California requirement that every city’s General Plan must be updated periodically. The last update to El Centro’s plan was 15 years ago.

For more information, or to fill out the survey, visit www.elcentro2040.com
