Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs prison release date set for 2028

(NBC, KYMA) - Sean "Diddy" Combs is expected to be released from prison in May 2028.

Combs was sentenced earlier this month to 50 months in prison on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution, and has been credited with time served while awaiting trial.

His expected release date is set for May 8, 2028, according to public records from the Federal Bureau of Prisons.

Combs was acquitted on the more serious charges of racketeering and sex trafficking.

In addition to the prison term, the judge also ordered a $500,000 fine and five years of supervised release.

Combs has been detained in Brooklyn since his arrest in September 2024, and has maintained his innocence.

It's unclear where he will be serving out the remainder of his prison time, and attorneys for Combs are expected to appeal his conviction and sentence.
