Five workers honored for their bravery during subway shooting in NYC

NEW YORK (KYMA, KECY/CNN) - The mayor of New York is honoring five city workers for their heroism during a Brooklyn subway station shooting.

Mayor Eric Adam has declared April 15 as the day to honor these individuals for their bravery.

Two of the workers were conducting the train where the shooting occurred, two were conducting a train that was coming from the opposite direction, and one was a bus operator.

All five individuals helped prevent further harm.
