Rash of vehicle burglaries reported in Yuma neighborhood

Deputies say thief hit multiple cars and trucks in Sun Valley Estates

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - The Yuma County Sheriff's Office (YCSO) asks for the public's help solving a rash of vehicle burglaries in a local neighborhood.

Deputies say they got called to the area of S. 43rd Avenue and W. Linda Lane in Sun Valley Estates around 6:30 Tuesday morning to investigate reports of a suspicious person opening car doors. YCSO searched the neighborhood, but did not find the suspect.

Deputies did find evidence of a number of vehicle burglaries. They also located security video of a suspect.

Deputies ask anyone with information on this person, or this incident, to call 928-783-4427 or 78-CRIME to remain anonymous. You can also remain anonymous by submitting a tip on the YCSO website.
