Two more suspects named in murder case

News 11 has uncovered new details about two of the teens tied to the 2017 murder of Leondre Richards.
19-year-old Jesus Gonzalez and 18-year-old Daniel Castillo along with other suspects are accused of breaking into a home at the 8th Street Mobile Home Park off of 16th avenue and 8th street on July 9, 2017, and shooting Richards' mother.
Yuma Police said the group also shot and killed Richards.
The other suspects, 21-year-old Juan Torres, and 23-year-old Daniel Contreras.
Torres already sentenced to second-degree murder in February and is now serving sixteen years in prison.
The home invasion shocked the community.
News 11 spoke to one of Leondre's friends about the murder shortly after it happened.
"It brings awareness to just be careful out there. It's very scary that this stuff is happening," explained his friend.
Court documents show that Castillo signed a plea agreement in June 2018 and pled guilty to first-degree burglary but he has not yet been sentenced.
As far as Gonzalez, he could be facing trial in February.
