COVID-19 cases in Arizona drop significantly

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - The latest on local and state COVID-19 cases, deaths, and vaccine doses.

According to the Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS), new cases in Arizona dropped from 9,278 to 4,973 since last week's update.

However, death numbers in Arizona went up from 109 to 144 since last week as well.

According to covid19.ca.gov and ADHS, there are no new deaths in Imperial County, but there are two new deaths in Yuma County.

Meanwhile, COVID-19 vaccine doses in California and Imperial County went up by 0.1%. This is according to the Imperial County Public Health Department.
