Imperial County coronavirus cases surpass 2000

EL Centro, Calif. (KYMA, KECY) - The Imperial County Public Health Department (ICPHD) reports the county has reached 2,025 cases countywide Wednesday.

The death toll has risen by is now at 29. The county has not released additional information regarding the latest deaths. 20 of these deaths have occured in those aged 70 and above.

So far 986 people have recovered, compared to 1,010 active cases. The county also recently reached over 12,600 total tests conducted.

The 20-49 age range makes-up the bulk of all cases in the county, with at least 1,410 cases total distributed between each decade.
