Crash on Interstate 5 in California creates hours of traffic delays

SAN DIEGO (NBC, KYMA) - A crash between a sedan and a box truck in San Diego Tuesday morning sent the big rig's cab over the edge of the Interstate 5 Freeway where it dangled between the north and southbound lanes.

Emergency workers said the truck's cab was on fire when they arrived on the scene.

All four people in the sedan were taken to the hospital. Surprisingly, though, the two men in the box truck refused treatment.

The crash caused a fuel spill, and damaged the center divide, and by late afternoon, all lanes still were not reopened.
