Kim Kardashian’s home in Southern California burglarized

HIDDEN HILLS, Calif. (CNN, KYMA) - Billionaire business mogul Kim Kardashian's home in Hidden Hills, California was burglarized over the weekend.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department arrested 27-year-old Trey Mendel Sunday, who they said was seen loading items into a car.

In addition to being accused of breaking into the home, Mendel allegedly stole a car and took it for a joyride before he was arrested.

Authorities said Mendel is facing burglary and theft charges, and Kardashian has not yet commented on the burglary.

Kardashian has been a target of crime before. Back in 2016, five masked gunmen allegedly stole $10 million worth of jewelry from her Paris luxury hotel.

Eight people were found guilty in connection to the armed robbery.
