Severe storm watch issued for Northern California

(NBC, KYMA/KECY) - A severe storm watch has been issued for Northern California. The strongest winds are expected through Monday morning.

Wind gusts are expected to reach up to 45 miles per hour in some areas.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS), a wind advisory is in effect until early Tuesday morning.

A flood watch went into effect across the valley on Sunday afternoon and will continue until Wednesday morning.
