Three people dead in Southern California plane crash

UPLAND, Calif. (NBC, KYMA/KECY) - Three people are dead when a small plane crashed in Southern California on Sunday.

The single-engine Beechcraft P35 crashed into a hanger during departure at Cable Airport in Upland around 6:30am.

Firefighters arrived on scene to find the plane engulfed in flames. Crews were able to get the blaze under control in less than 20 minutes.

No injuries to firefighters were reported.

All three people onboard died in the crash, but they have not yet been identified.

The crash is under investigation.
