Los Angeles holds Pride Parade, Leslie Jordan honored as Legacy Grand Marshal

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (CBS, KYMA/KECY) - About 150,000 people came out and watched the 53rd annual Los Angeles Pride Parade Sunday, according to CBS News Los Angeles.

Comedian Margaret Cho served as Icon Grand Marshal, and the late actor Leslie Jordan was honored as the Legacy Grand Marshal. The one-mile route prompted the closure of several streets in Hollywood, according to CBS News Los Angeles.

The Los Angeles Children's Hospital, ACLU of Southern California and members of the L.A. City Council were among those who were spotted marching or riding in the parade

This marked the end to three straight days of huge turnouts for those who celebrated Pride in the Los Angeles area. On Saturday, singer Mariah Carey helped close out LA Pride in the Park festivities in Chinatown.
