Sacramento experiences weekend storms, causing power outages

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (NBC, KYMA/KECY) - Thousands of customers are without power in Sacramento after a powerful storm system moved across the state over the weekend.

Heavy winds pummeled the area on Saturday night, toppling trees and knocking out power for more than 300,000 customers.

California is bracing for another round of storms this week that could bring additional flooding, more outages and tree damage.

Some areas are under evacuation orders due to possible flooding.
