Border Patrol agents arrest man for smuggling attempt near Yuma

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Border Patrol agents recently showed how multiple people were arrested while conducting a vehicle stop near Yuma.

Agents stopped a Ford Expedition on Interstate 8 near Yuma and the driver, 31-year-old Ramon Madrid Zendejas, Jr., was arrested.

Zendejas had a previous conviction for aggravated assault.

Four other passengers were also in the vehicle and were determined to not have the proper documentation to be in the United States, they were taken in for processing.
