Two Arizona teens dead after crashing into store

AVONDALE, Ariz. (CNN, KYMA/KECY) - Two teenagers are dead after a fiery crash in south central Arizona.

The crash happened early Saturday morning in Avondale.

Police in Phoenix say they tried to stop a vehicle they say was driving recklessly. Officers say the driver failed to stop and sped off.

A short time later, the same vehicle crashed into a store in Avondale. The vehicle burst into flames, and the store also caught fire.

Firefighters put the fire out, and the teens, identified as 18-year-old Sergio Lara-Garcia and 16-year-old Julian Lugo-Estrada, were taken to a hospital where they later died.

The crash is under investigation.
