Housing development in Phoenix caught on fire

PHOENIX, Ariz. (NBC, KYMA/KECY) - A major fire broke out at a housing development that's still under construction in Phoenix Monday morning.

The Phoenix Fire Department (PFD) says the two-alarm blaze has spread to multiple homes in the development.

Fire officials say crews were in a defensive strategy, trying to keep the fire from spreading to additional structures.

The cause of the fire is not yet known.
