YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Arizona Senator Kyrsten Sinema has delivered a key defense and military priorities in a bipartisan government funding bill.

According to a press release, the bill will include the following:

  • A pay raise for Arizona servicemembers
  • Increased funding to address PFAS contamination on military bases and neighboring communities
  • Stronger investments for the modernization of military technologies

“We’re keeping Arizona strong and ready,” said Sinema.

For further context, the bill will invest in Arizona servicemembers and their families by fully funding a 4.6% pay raise.

In addition to the addressing of the PFAS contamination, the bill will increase the Basic Allowance for Housing and boost a program for children with severe disabilities.

Finally, the bill will heavily invest in military technology like the F-35 program and so on.
