Shooting at an AZ Amazon Flex warehouse

CHANDLER, Ariz. (NBC) - Police in Arizona are investigating a shooting Wednesday at an Amazon Flex warehouse southeast of Phoenix.

Investigators believe the shooter struck a contract worker before another Amazon worker fired and hit the initial shooter.

That initial shooter, who was not an Amazon employee, later died in the parking lot.

Police say the employee who fired what may be the fatal shot is cooperating with the investigation and the worker's actions may have stopped a larger shooting.

A possible motive for the incident remains under investigation.
