Tracking cooler temperatures heading into the weekend

Yuma, Ariz. (KYMA) - Coming off First Alert Action Day, Yuma and Imperial Valley will see cooler temperatures this weekend.

Yuma will see temperatures reach a high of 107°F on Saturday and Sunday with mostly clear skies.

Winds will peak around 10-20 mph in Yuma and surrounding areas with Ocotillo tracking winds reach up to over 40 mph in the evening.

Humidity will be mild compared to earlier in the week as the dew points are around the 60 range across Yuma over the next 48 hours.

Over the next few days, Yuma and Imperial Valley will be tracking triple digit temperatures as the Summer season winds down.

In the night time over the weekend, low 80's will be the temperature for Yuma.

For Imperial Valley, it will be around the same as the low will be 83°F Sunday night.

Temperatures will be moderate before climbing up again throughout the week for both areas.
