A water line break causes a massive sinkhole to open up in West Virginia

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (NBC, KYMA) - A massive sinkhole has opened up in Huntington, West Virginia.

The sinkhole was created after a water line break over the weekend.

The road has been closed as crews work to repair the damage.

Sanitary board crews used a robot camera to check whether the sewer line was damaged by the water main break.

If so, they'll have to fix that before the road can be repaired.

A spokesperson for West Virginia American Water says their crews repaired the water line over the weekend, and service has been fully restored.
