Cuba continuing to deal with prolonged power outages

HAVANA, CUBA (NBC, KYMA) - Cuba continues to endure widespread daily power outages.

During a blackout in Havana on Friday night, an NBC news crew observed police units known as the "Black Berets" stationed at several intersections where anti-government protests have occurred in the past.

The crew also witnessed a small "Pots and pans" protest in Havana's vedado neighborhood, as residents expressed frustration over the ongoing electricity crisis.

The island remains gripped by prolonged blackouts and growing external pressure, leaving many cubans to cope with persistent shortages and uncertainty.
