YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - Our Extreme Heat Warning EXPIRED early. Temperatures are as hot, but humidity levels are still elevated and heat index levels are still trending high.

For our hours ahead, temperatures won't be as high, but the humidity will make it still feel even hotter.

We have monsoonal moisture coming from the south keeping the Desert Southwest hot and humid.

There are chance for showers and storm chances for the Desert Southwest today and into Friday. More significant rainfall and flooding will be favoring toward our east.

the higher moisture will still allow opportunities for isolated and scattered showers and thunderstorms to develop in the Desert Southwest.

Tracking rain and storm potential this evening through Friday. Remember, if thunderstorms do develop it could lead to flooding and gusty winds. Always be storm ready!

Tracking slightly cooler temperatures, but the humidity won't give us any relief. We are in for some clouds and breezy conditions with rain chances for rest of the week.

Going into next week we still have more chances for showers and thunderstorms.
