Protests continue in Maine following ICE involved fatal shooting

SCARBOROUGH, ME. (NBC, KYMA) - A large protest was held today outside of an ICE facility in Scarborough, Maine after the fatal shooting of a 26-year-old man identified as Joan Sebastian Guerrero.

The group gathered with signs and sang songs and chanted, calling on ICE to leave the state. To put an end to fatal shootings involving ICE agents.

Guerrero was legally in the United States and had been issued a social security number.

Abigail Woods, a Biddeford City Council Member said she was horrified by the incident.

"A lot of despair just trying to figure out what to do and how we can come together. Biddeford has always been a community that comes to together, so we will continue to do that ", said Woods.
