Arizona man turns 100 and celebrates with a workout

MESA, Ariz. (NBC, KYMA) - A Mesa man celebrates his 100th birthday by starting his morning the same way he always does, with a workout.

Dave Keaggy turned a century old today and shares his secrets for longevity.

"Every part of you that moves should be exercised one way or another, every day," explained Keaggy. He also advises to skip the caffeine an alcohol, and encourages instead to eat bananas and eggs.

Dave is a world war two veteran, he was 17 when he started attending the gym regularly. He's a proud father of five kids, seven grandkids, five great grandkids and one great-great grand son.

Regarding his birthday wish Keaggy said "I'm going to make a wish that I can do 10 more years."
