President Trump accuses Iran of violating ceasefire agreement with U.S.

(NBC, KYMA) - President Donald Trump accused Iran of violating the ceasefire agreement with the U.S. Sunday.

President Trump wrote on social media saying Iran targeted vessels from France and the United Kingdom in the Strait of Hormuz.

He did not provide further details but issued more threats to attack Iranian energy infrastructure unless it accepts a deal to end the war.

The ceasefire with Iran expires this week.

While the country reimposed an effective closure of the Strait of Hormuz Saturday, two senior administration officials tell NBC News Vice President JD Vance, Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and the president's son-in-law, Jared Kushner, will travel to Islamabad, Pakistan to continue negotiations.
