Bail lowered for Zales burglary suspect

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - The man accused of stealing an undisclosed amount of merchandise from a local Zales Jewelers appeared in court this week.

36-year-old Deandre Lamar Wells had his bail lowered from $500,000 to $100,000.

Wells is accused of entering the local Zales Jewelers at the Yuma Palms Mall through a broken door, shattering display cases and leaving the scene with an undisclosed amount of merchandise in August of last year.

Wells is being charged with third-degree burglary, theft control property and criminal damage deface.

He is expected to be back in court next month.
